Aim of CBSE Udaan Program

This initiative by CBSE for 1000 girl students to help them prepare for Engineering Entrance Exams. Through this program, CBSE wants to push more girl students in Engineering and Science fields.

Girl students preparing for engineering entrance exams

CBSE has invited online application from girl students for enrolment in UDAAN project 2017-19.

Eligibility

The scholarship is open for girl students who aspire for an engineering degree and to assist them to prepare for entrance exam while studying in Class 11 and 12th in Kendriya Vidyalaya, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya or government schools affiliated to CBSE or any board.

Last date

The last date for applying in Udaan scholarship for 2017 is 31st of July. The selected girls get tutorials and study materials for the entrance exam free of cost.

CBSE Scholarship scheme for Single Girl Child

Aim of CBSE Scholarship:

The main aim of this scholarship is to promote education among single girl child and provide an encouragement to meritorious girls.

Offered to:

Class 11 girl students

Eligibility:

Girl students who have completed class 10 with minimum 60 percent marks or 6.2 CGPA. The school’s monthly tuition fee should be less than Rs. 1,500.

Scholarship:

The amount is Rs.500 per month.

Condition for Extension:

Steps to apply for CBSE Scholarship scheme for Single Girl Child 2017:

  1. Go to the official website of the CBSE – cbse.nic.in.
  2. Click on the link “CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child of Class 10 passed in 2017”.
  3. Go through the guidelines for CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Class 11 Girl students 2017.
  4. Click on the link provided to apply for Class 11 Scholarship.
  5. Fill in your details, submit your application and save a copy of the same for further reference.

 

Maulana Azad Scholarship

Aim of Maulana Azad Scholarship:

To encourage education among girl students of minority community.

Offered to:

Class 11 girl students from minority community.

Eligibility:

Girl students must have completed class 10 exams with at least 55 percent marks. Family income of the student should be less than Rs. 1 lakh per annum.

Scholarship:

Every year, 35,000 girls are selected for this scholarship.

This is a merit-based single-time scholarship as girls once selected for this scholarship, cannot get it again. Interested students will have to apply through the website of Maulana Azad Foundation, who provides this scholarship for meritorious minority girls.

K.C. Mahindra Education Trust Scholarship

Aim of K.C. Mahindra Education Trust Scholarship

To enable students to pursue diploma courses in Government or recognised polytechnics for Diploma courses for which they have secured admissions.

Offered to:

Girl students are preferred. Otherwise children from lower income families, disabled children and children of armed forces personnel.

Eligibility:

The students should have passed class 10 or 12 and secured admissions in Government or recognised polytechnics for Diploma courses

Scholarship:

Scholarships of Rs.5,000 per year and for maximum period of 3 academic years
